High Tea. Bottega Veneta, AW17

Francesca Barrow fashion illustration Bottega Veneta

There’s something so delightful about a dress you can wear to high tea and not have to change out of before evening falls.

My eyes cast on this dress by Bottega Veneta for Autumn Winter 2017 and appeased by its dichotomy. Prim and proper yet with an edge for its waist, collar and shoulder detail. Of course, let’s not amiss the colour. This is the type of yellow reminiscent of a bygone era. It could almost be something my (ever-so-glamorous) Grandmama had given me and ahead of its time (as most of her pieces were), made immediately contemporary styled with a black, leather belt. I’d like to make a point of the stocking and shoes styled with the look for runway - an ode to the era I speak of. The perfect dress for a proper lady.

Love,

Girl in Style.
